This adapter would be really nice on our F55. We have a Canon 17-120mm Cine Servo pl mount lens on our F55 that we really love, but for small setups with exactly the lens pictured in your photo or with our fantastic Canon 70-200 2.8 lens this would be the perfect adapter. Aperture display in the viewfinder almost sounds too good to be true.
Did you hear anything from the Metabones people about the development and release date of this adapter? I checked the Metabones website several times after your news about the earlier iteration of this adapter, but it looks like a secret project they only show on tradeshows…
Yes, it’s like a skunk works project. I’m sure they will sell a bunch, but I guess the big volume sales are in the E-Mount adapters, so this probably is a low priority which is a great shame as clearly a lot of thought has gone into the design and it appears to be a finished product.
I would also love any updates anyone has on this. Ive been waiting for some time now for an adapter like this to come out.
This is a very, VERY, exciting product. I’ve been pestering Metabones about one of these from day one of the first Speedbooster arriving on the scene. I have a couple of Zeiss Compact Zooms, and the idea of having (effectively) a 19.5-55mm T/2 and 50-140mm T/2 in lightweight housings, with proper cine mechanics, is pretty damn exciting.
Nevermind, mistakenly thought this was an FZ Speedbooster prototype 🙁
