I do but I use the Fujinon 4.5mm wide angle zoom... with a doubler .... 99% of the time.. but yes it cost not that much less that the camera.. !! personally I dont think 7.6 is wide enough.

PMW500 is pretty recent.. there has been one software upgrade since I bought in May this yr.. the 500 was quite a bit of change as the first shoulder camera /2/3 inch CCD chip camera to record 50 Mbps to SXS cards.. Use the shutter.. at 25p.. 1/50th.. this will help.. but you,ll probably get some anyway.. on that camera.. turn the detail down .. auto Iris is not good in 99% of situations..

Dont know about times I have 500 and so far only shot 50 Mbps.. in the VF it tells me I have 64 mins per 32GB card.. so your card actually stops recording and says its full.. do you reformat in the camera..? if not give that a try..

I tend to avoid spanned clips.. but Ive had 32 GB cards with only a tiny bit of space left.. you should be able to fill your card.. do you only have one card ? put in another and see what happens that is the quickest way to check..

I havmt noticed this .. 23GB from a 32GB card there must be something wrong.. all cards or just one ..? I always reformat in the camera.. so far no problems..
