Re: Nikon DX lenses on F5
It depends on the lens. The sensor is only marginally larger than a DX sensor so in most cases there is no issue, but some lenses might show a barely detectable vignette. I've used a number of DX lenses and they are normally OK.

The Sony Canada site always seems to have the most up to date drivers: http://support.sonybiz.ca/esupport/init.do

Re: Sony PMW400 a 350 killer?
Not in any depth. It is basically a 350 with new recording modes and flash band correction, so base image quality will be pretty much the same as the 350 )maybe slightly less noise due to new NR) but with integral XDCAM 422 and 10 bit XAVC 422 in the future. It also integrates with the new WiFi and ...

Re: EX1r shoulder support
The hand grip cannot be removed. I'd recommend a monopod.

Re: PMW-300 Questions
It's still unknown exactly what the XAVC update will bring. Almost certainly 10 bit 2:2:2 at 100Mb/s at 24/25/30 fps. Possibly 50/60p but this is uncertain. It almost certainly won't bring 444, but then on a camera like this 444 is a bit pointless anyway, too much noise to really make any difference...

How to shoot 240 fps with the F5 and F55
I know a lot of people struggle with getting the high speed modes to work on the F5 and F55. For a start if you want to shoot at 120fps, then you use S&Q mode. In addition in the camera menu, under S&Q Motion to go above 60fps you need to set High Frame Rate Mode to Full Scan. If you want to...

How to reset camera when you have no VF display.
If you don't have a Sony viewfinder connected to the viewfinder port it is possible to accidentally turn off the display overlays on the SDI and HDMI ports. From Version 2 firmware on this is not an issue as pressing the CAMERA button twice will bring up an option to turn the VF overlays on and off ...

Re: XD CAM PHU-22OR shows error message "no codec"
The codec is part of the Final Cut Pro installation. Make sure you are running FCP7 and its up to date. This is very old software as has now been replaced by XDCAM-Browser.

Re: DSLR Lens for Sony F5/F55
Yes, your right it's the Tamron 18-270. I use it with either an MTF EF mount or the prototype mount I'm working on. The zoom handgrip won't be available until the new year I'm afraid

Re: Genlock Settings EX3
You won't need to change any settings in the EX3's in most cases, but if you want to sync more than 1 other device you need either a sync generator or distribution amplifier to provide the sync feed for each device. I would not recommend syncing one camera to the first using the first cameras compon...
