Ex3 and Coco Ex

Hello everyone! My name is Raul Cadenas and I´m new in this forum, nice to meet you!
I´m a freelance cameraman based in Madrid, Spain.
Just bought a Sony Ex3 with 2 bpu60 batteries, now I need to power a led camera light and wireless receiver sometimes. I see the Bebob products like Coco Ex3 AB or V and they are very nice and clever but I don´t want to add more heavy things...
I thought to use a simple Coco Ex but I have some doubts:
do you need to remove the integrated shoulderpad in the camera body to attach the coco ex ???
do you think there is room for the d-tap connector beetwen the coco and the shoulderpad when opened?
is there someone of you with this configuration?

I will apreciate so much if you have time to resolve my doubts and help me. Here in Spain we have to order and import that products, so I cann´t check it before ordering...

Thank you very much!!! (and so sorry about my english...)
Raul

Re: Ex3 and Coco Ex

Hi Raul.

As far as I know you don't have to remove the shoulder pad to use the CoCo.

Have you considered using some of the Swit S-8U62 batteries for the EX? These have an integral D-Tap connector for powering external devices. I have a couple that I use when I'm using my NanoFlash.
