Extracting footage - Only have CLPR Folder

Post by Fingers_in_Pies » June 6th, 2012, 6:24 pm

I have been given some footage shot by another crew and all they have given me is the sub-folders of the CLPR folder and none of the XML files etc. I got my client to ask them for the rest of the data and got a reply stating the the crew "never use the index files, so deleted it", which leaves me rather stumped, as I don't know how to extract the footage without the XML files. None of the XDCAM software that I have seems to recognise the folder as anything.

Any help would be much appreciated.

•• CLPR (I only have the contents of this folder)**
••• Clip 01
••• Clip 02
••• Clip 74 etc

I wish people would learn the importance of all those other files.

What you need to do is to use XDCAM Browser and use the "import" "file" function to import each of the .mp4 files into a new folder on your hard drive. This will rebuild a new BPAV folder with the correct file structure.
