XDCAM-USER.COM

Hello,

I received MP4 files made with SONY XDCAM EX1R. I want to edit them in Final Cut Express. This doesn't work.
I tried to convert them with Voltaic for Mac, but that doesn't work either. What can I do? Hope you have some advice.

XDCAM is not supported by FCE. You would need Final Cut Pro 6.0.2 or higher along with the free Sony XDCAM Browser software to import the BPAV folders.

The only alternative with FCE is to use the CalibratedQ XDCAM decoder XD Decode (along with the Sony XDCAM Browser) which costs about $89. http://www.calibratedsoftware.com/QXD.asp
