Sony PXU MS240

Hi,
Im new on this fourm. I am in the process of buying the EX1R and wanted to get the PXU 240 unit as well. But alas its been taken off the shelf. Any reason why ? Are they bringing out an alternative unit?
In the mean while Ive been looking at the Nexto units but I like the idea of swappable HDs on the Sony unit.
Should I now forget the Sony and get the Nexto or wait till Sony announce a newer unit?
