I'm new here so first of: I'm a 34 year old video fan who's trying to get into documentaries.
To do this I got myself a PMW EX1R (second-hand). I've got 1 SxS 16GB card with it and i've filmed a few things that i want to import to my PC.
That's not working right now.
Ive got a regular 4 pin Firewire and an adaptor so a 4 pin firewire connector goes to an USB. Neither gives me any love.
The regular firewire cable prompts windows to ask me whether or not i'd like to start adobe premiere or onlocation to get to the video files. but that doesnt work either. In these programs the mediabrowsers do not show any external disk with content on it.
The USB adaptor gets a reaction from windows but windows say there was an error installing the Device to USB. It said that USB device was broken or not installable.
All in all the cam doesnt seem browsable...
any ideas?
