weird results from filming a blue LCD

Hello,
I had this problem a few years ago and I know it will come up again on my next shoot: I am making instructional videos about a coffee machine. The machine has a blue LCD which shows the time, info, type of coffee, etc.
Whenever there is a shot of the blue digital display it reads really horrible. The blue color is super unreal looking and the text in the screen is completely unreadable.
I am shooting with a Sony ex1r. Does anyone have any suggestions? I thought about shooting with a polarizer, or messing with the shutter speeds but I'm at a loss.
Thanks in advance!
