Does the PMW 320 stream out DV SD from the HD footage? It is possible "in camera" downconversion?

Hi there. The PMW350 in HD mode will down convert to SD via either composite out or SDI. But there needs to be some changes in the paint menu to obtain a usable SD image. Read the other posts on this topic.

Hi Josip,
I don't have the spec on the 320 but I would imagine so. You would need to look at the output on a grade 1 monitor (SD) whilst making the changes just to be sure.
If you have not already bought into this camera and you do a lot of SD, I would take a serious look at the new Panasonic HVX250. It's only 1/3" but by all accounts a fabulous camera and only 5000 Euro ! They say it's Broadcast, what ever that means these days.
