F5: noisy picture when recording 1 fps and shutter off

Post by fusselcheck » March 13th, 2014, 8:22 am

Hi,
I did some timelapse recording with the f5 using slog 2 and 3. The Framerate was 1 fps and the shutter was turned off. The result was an extremely noisy picture. Has anybody experienced this too?

Regards

If the shutter is off the exposure is 1 second, so like any camera with a very long exposure the image will be noisier. Noise builds up over time, so the longer the exposure the more the noise. Best to use a lower ISO or EI when using a long exposure.
