Video signal (waveform) "cannot proceed" on FS7

Hi there. Just got my new FS7. Loving the EI mode particularly with my sigma 18-35 and metabones adapter. Looks fabulous in first couple of test shots!
The question I have is about the video signal monitor/indicator. I have the sigma lens and the sony18015G lens. I cant get the video signal monitor to work with either of them. Just says "cannot proceed". Is this function only usable with the new beaut 28135 lens?
