I’m a little confused about the output recording options on the new FS5 II. Can I record 4K 10-bit 422 (not raw, but still 10-bit 422 i.e. ProRes) to the Ninja Inferno via the HDMI? (Just looking for 23.976)
It’s my understanding that the HDMI output is only 4K 422 “8-bit” not 10-bit. So I’m assuming my ninja (even though it’s capable of receiving 10-bit) is not recording at 10-bit 422 because the Fs5 ii HDMI cannont output 10-bit. Is that correct?
Is my only option (to output 4K 10-bit) to shoot RAW. And is that 12-bit? With the raw option, am I limited to HD or will it output 4K with the ninja inferno via HDMI?
To summarize: HOW CAN I SHOOT 4K 10-bit 422 (preferably not raw) with my Fs5 ii with ninja inferno external recorder?

Re: FS5 II 4K 10-bit
Correct the output is 8 bit, so you can't record 10 bit with a ninja inferno.
