haha yes maybe.. personally Ive never used an Ikegami camera.. so can't help you there..

what does it record on? I had a look and couldn't work it out....

I've tried a few ike's and didn't like them..!

It records either onto its own solid state HD system called GF Pak which is approx tape sized and has a built in USB port so it can plug straight into a laptop for editing. Or an adaptor, also with a USB, which takes a compact flash card.
Ikegami obviously can't compete with the might of Sony, but their DV Cam camera and before that their DVC Pro unit are highly regarded. There's several Eng camera crews in the region I live that much prefer the build quality and longevity of the Ike over the equivalent and more plastic Sony camera.
