I have been using the HDSD 16GB cards with an adaptor in my EX3 for a few years and came up against the first problem on my last shoot. I always download all files to my laptop hard drive through the Sony clip browser and then to the client's hard drive for backup. This time, one clip didn't have the _01 at the end of the clip name and an error message appeared. The clip plays in the clip browser but not anywhere else. Any one else find this problem and a solution? My client uses Avid and is needs a solution right away. Any help is most welcome. Thank you.

Is this clip part of a clip spanned across 2 cards or larger than 4Gb?

What you might be able to do is from within XDCAM Browser use the "file" "import" function to manually navigate to the mp4 file on the card and import it into a new folder.
