better lighting for xdcam ex1r

I need to find a much stronger on camera light to work off my tripod..The i-can led doesn't throw enough for distance.
..I need to go beyond 6-8 feet
it can be battery operated or battery pack

Camera top lights are at best useful as fill lights. If you start going up to bigger more power lamps then you get the "rabbit in the headlamps" look. There are lots of lamps to choose from, but for brute force your probably going to need to spend some considerable money. The good old "Sun Gun" with a battery belt is an option.
