My company films weddings and receptions. In the past couple years we have found more & more couples are opting to use uplighting at the reception venue. When the uplighting changes from any color to blue, it has a really adverse effect on the image off my EX1's. Everything and everyone turns a stark blue, almost a solid blue. Other colors are not as bad but do have some influence on the video quality. It is really difficult if not impossible to fix in post production. I have to believe many others suffer the same problem as I. Any help at all would be greatly appreciated.

I believe there are several reasons behind this. From the simple fact that if you have a lot of blue light then things will look very blue. LED lights emit large amounts of light in the far blue and ultraviolet range. This is such a big issue that in the USA many actors are refusing to work with LED lights as they are worried about damage to their eyes. Obviously camera sensors can also be affected by this extreme blue. One way to minimise the problem is to shoot with much reduced saturation via the matrix setting in the picture profiles, but it is difficult to eliminate the problem entirely.
