EX1 vs. EX1R Color

Post by alan.fleury » June 11th, 2012, 10:58 pm

I own both an EX1 & EX1R. I notice that with identical camera profiles, the EX1R always seems to have a greenish hue to it which I have to fix in post. It is the same no matter if the color matrix is on or off. Other than trying to adjust the R-G, R-B etc., is there something I should be doing in the maintenance of cam to correct for this greenish hue?

The difference is due to the stronger IR filter fitted to the EX1R. It takes more far red from the picture which results in a slightly greener picture.

You should be able to boost the red sat a little in the matrix, but it's not something I have tried specifically for this scenario for myself.
