you know the 12v socket on the back.. the 4 pin one

Doesn't seem to work on the camera I have at the moment. Theres not a menu setting I'm missing is there to turn it on/off is there?

Don't think there is but it's only 500mA and really only designed to be used with an external radio mic. Very easy to overload it and blow a fuse on the power supply board.
