Does anyone know of any tutorials or other instructions on best practice when it comes to tweaking the genlock settings in the EX3. The user manual is a tad obtuse!
I'm wanting to genlock 2-3 EX3's together as well as a Blackmagic Atem me1 mixer. Reading around it seems that I could use one camera as a master, then feed the monitor output to the next camera genlock in, and so on, ending up feeding the ref in to the mixer.
The question is, do I need to do anything special with the genlock settings in the ex3?
BTW, send an HDSDI signal to the mixer.
Thanks in advance.

Re: Genlock Settings EX3
You won't need to change any settings in the EX3's in most cases, but if you want to sync more than 1 other device you need either a sync generator or distribution amplifier to provide the sync feed for each device. I would not recommend syncing one camera to the first using the first cameras component Y output and then taking the Y from the next and so on as there will be delay between the sync from the first camera and later sync signals and this may lead to instability.
