I'm about to start a project we'll shoot on a PMW500, which I've not used before.
I've had very good results with Alistair's settings and profiles for both the PMW-350 and the F3 that I've rented.
Particularly with the tweaking and testing you've done with detail, frequency, aperture, etc. It's great to be able dial-in your files and get a nice-look right away when there's no prep-time in the budget to figure it out on your own!
Have you done any files for the PMW-500? Since it is a different sensor than the 350, is it safe to assume that the 350 settings wouldn't necessarily apply to the 500?
Are settings from a PMW-700 or 800 applicable, and are they available?
Thanks,
Craig

Re: Scene files for PMW-500
I've never had a 500 for long enough to really figure out the optimum settings. The matrix and gamma settings from the 700 would be very close on the 500, but detail and aperture would not be the same as the processing is different.

Thanks for the response. Have you heard of any sources for obtaining recommending settings or profile for the 500?

Alan Roberts has suggested settings for BBC use. BBC HD site should have them.
