Yes the lens servo zoom can be made to work with a simple adapter to provide power from the rear battery mount. A second tap of that cable can be taken to the remote port on the F3 to trigger recording.
The full kit is quite heavy, approx 6kg or 12lbs but it’s very well balanced.
