2017 Northern Lights Tours Photo’s.

Here are a few photos from January 2017.

Many of these pictures were taken by one of the local guides, Jan Helmer Olsen.

Oskar, our host driving leads the snowmobile convoy up to the cabins.

Sledges are used for passengers and luggage on route up to the cabins.
2017 saw exceptional snow fall. So we all had to help out digging the snowmobiles and sledges out of the snow from time to time.
Spectacular sunrises and sunsets are par for the course at the cabins.
After dark the lights came out to play on several nights.
And they put on a magical light show.
At times the sky was completely full of Aurora.
Inside one of the bedrooms in the cabins. The log burner keeps it very warm and the walls are packed full of wool for insulation.
We always try to get up onto the plateaux at some point. This view taken from a drone shows how desolate yet beautiful it is. Nothing man made from horizon to horizon.
The obligatory group photo with Aurora backdrop.
Drilling holes in a frozen lake for ice fishing.
Very small fishing rods used for ice fishing.
Dog sledding is an amazing experience if you have never done it.
Sleeping under the Aurora. 2018 we will be setting up a base camp on the Finnmarksvidda.
