How relevant is an FS5ii today and is inage quality miles apart?
No, I haven’t used an FS5 for a long time. The FS5’s biggest issue is that in 4K/UHD its limited to 8 bit and in a world where shooting 4K log is normal, that is incredibly restricting and limits the image quality. You can work around that limitation by outputting raw to an atomos device, but even then this is 12 bit linear which although better than the 8 bit internal isn’t as good as the internal 10 big log in the newer cameras.
