Sony have just released the latest version of their free viewing, copying and transcoding software Catalyst Browse and the more fully featured paid software Catalyst Prepare. These new versions includes support for the PXW-FX9’s metadata based image stabilisation. Hopefully the new Mac versions are also optimised for Catalina.
You can download Browse from here: https://www.sonycreativesoftware.com/de/download/catalystbrowse
And Prepare from here: https://www.sonycreativesoftware.com/de/download/catalystprepare
Thanks for info but still same problem (crashes when play fs7 clips) with newer nvidia driver…
I don’t see a lot of people having issues with Catalyst Browse.
Hi Alister i have two pc, one with titanX and other with rtx2070 and met same problem with lastest nvidia drivers so i have to use only cpu for read rushes inside catalyst sonst catalyst freeze when use gpu. Or instal old nvidia driver. Gpu is far better to use catalyst.
Then use the older driver. Problem solved.
This is the problem with windows. There are so many possible permutations of motherboards, processors, GPU’s, drivers etc that it is impossible to test every possible combination.
the last good nvidia driver foa catalyst pc is 430.86-desktop-win10-64bit-international-whql
Alister, could we have a test of catalyst stabilisation ?
if we could download fs9 mxf shaky footage to see how catalyst stab works please.

I couldn’t even get it installed, double click and nothing happen. Already move to a clean folder…..
Sony update catalyst, now that run normally with NvidiaGPU. It is not Always PC fault it is often software problem…..
